A short video from a rehearsal earlier this week. See below for details about the play:Prometheus Theater Company\npresents\nThe Ethiopian Tattoo Shop\nFebruary 1st - February 18th, 2007\n\nWhat: Prometheus Theater Company presents the World Premiere of The Ethiopian Tattoo Shop by Edward Hays, Directed by Jonathan Kakacek and Adapted by Darcy Villere. In the vein of Aesop\'s fables, eight parables from Edward Hays\' classic book of short stories is brought to life on stage that will inspire you with humor and sadness. We follow the Pilgrim as he travels to Jerusalem in 1971 to be tattooed as thousands of others had at the fabled Ethiopian Tattoo Shop. The Ethiopian tattoo artist tells him tales that take him on a remarkable journey through the lives of others: a Revolutionary in South America, a southern Black woman, a blind Russian story teller, and many others. These magical stories point him and us on the way to happiness and... happily to the Way.\n\nWhen: February 1st - February 18th, 2007\n\nShowtimes: Pay-What-You-Can Preview Thursday, February 1st @ 8pm&Monday the 12th @ 8pmThursday February 8th&15th @ 8pmFriday February 2nd, 9th, 16th @ 8pmSaturday February 3rd, 10th, 17th @ 8pmSunday February 18th @ 2pmWhere: Teatro de la Esperanza, 2940 16th Street, 2nd Floor, between Mission and South Van Ness, San Francisco, CA 94103\n\nTickets: $10-$15.
